What are the side effects of Anticox?
Side Effects of Anticox 4 are Nausea, Vomiting, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Abdominal pain, Skin rash, Hepatitis (viral infection of liver), Lethargy, Low blood platelets, Joint pain, Thrombocytopenic purpura, Cutaneous reactions, Retrobulbar optic neuritis.
Coccidiosis is a protozoal disease causing diarrhea, ,weight loss and decreased production in poultry. It can be fatal. Prevention is key and is achieved with use of anticoccidials or vaccination. Diagnosis is by fecal flotation to detect oocysts, often in combination with characteristic necropsy findings.
Common signs of infection include:
  • droopiness and depression.
  • pale comb.
  • water, mucous and blood in the droppings (blood may be an indication of caecal coccidiosis)
  • loss of appetite.
  • loss of condition.
  • ruffled feathers.
  • whitish soiling around the vent (more common in intestinal coccidiosis).
COMPOSITION
Anticox II 450 mg/300 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Rifampicin and Isoniazid. It is used in the treatment of tuberculosis. Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by tuberculosis bacteria to make essential proteins and reproduce.
Indication:
lambs, kids, poultry against intestinal coccidiosis in poultry of all ages. Administration and dosage in drinking water for 5 days 200g/ kg body weight and 1g/ 5litters.
